Baku:President Ilham Aliyev expressed his confidence in seeing more Lao students studying in Azerbaijan in the future. He made this statement during joint press statements with President of the Lao People’s Democratic Republic, Thongloun Sisoulith.
According to Azeri-Press news agency, more than 2,000 Lao students studied in Azerbaijan during the Soviet period. President Aliyev has proposed reviving this tradition.
To support this initiative, a relevant scholarship mechanism has been introduced, which aims to facilitate the enrollment of more Lao students in Azerbaijan in the coming years.
