Polish and Finnish Companies Forge New Partnerships in Uzbekistan

Tashkent: The Agency for Attracting Foreign Investment under the Ministry of Investments, Industry, and Trade of the Republic of Uzbekistan has entered into three significant cooperation agreements with companies from Poland and Finland: Freedom Finance, Bart sp. z o.o., and Metateks Oy.

According to Trend News Agency, the agreements are aimed at enhancing investment opportunities and fostering international collaborations. A memorandum of understanding has been signed with Freedom Finance, aligning the Agency with the Uzbek subsidiary of Freedom Holding Corp. Additionally, the Polish company Bart sp. z o.o. has committed to an investment project focused on establishing a freeze-drying production facility for fruits, berries, and vegetables in Uzbekistan. The Agency will aid the company in connecting with local agricultural suppliers and addressing challenges related to certification, storage, and transportation of raw materials.

Concurrently, Finnish company Metateks Oy is set to develop eco-friendly packaging from phytoremediation plants using locally sourced materials. The Agency has pledged consulting support and will assist in establishing links with local suppliers to ensure the project’s success.
