Nearly 900 Tons of Meat Imported to Azerbaijan from Mongolia Last Year

Baku: In 2025, Azerbaijan imported 897 tons of lamb and mutton from Mongolia, valued at 3.6 million US dollars, APA-Economics reports, citing the report of the State Statistical Committee of Azerbaijan.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, meat imports from Mongolia saw a significant increase, rising by 77% in volume and 77.8% in value compared to the previous year. In 2024, the meat imports amounted to 506.4 tons, worth 2.025 million US dollars.

During the reporting period, the average import price for mutton from Mongolia to Azerbaijan was recorded at 6.8 manats. It was also noted that the total volume of imports from Mongolia to Azerbaijan last year was 4.0159 million US dollars, while exports from Azerbaijan to Mongolia reached 282.9 thousand US dollars.

Azerbaijan’s main exports to Mongolia included chocolate and chocolate products, flour-based confectionery, sweet dry biscuits, apples, pears, and grapes.
