MP Highlights Economic Growth Potential of OTS Countries

Baku: The economic growth rate of OTS countries is surpassing the global average: “Taking into account the GDP of the world’s countries, the OTS states cover a distance of up to 13th place with Trkiye and 130th place with Kyrgyzstan among 184 countries,” said MP Ali Masimli at today’s session of the Milli Majlis (Azerbaijani Parliament), APA reports.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, MP Ali Masimli emphasized the potential of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS) to significantly improve its global economic standing. He noted that if the OTS countries were to consolidate their efforts, they could potentially advance to the 7th position among 184 countries worldwide. Masimli further projected that by maintaining their current growth trajectory, the OTS countries could climb from 7th to 5th place in the medium term.

The economic performance of the OTS countries, as highlighted by Masimli, is currently exceeding the global growth rate. He expressed optimism about the OTS’s prospects, suggesting that it could emerge as a formidable power center on the world stage if it continues to harness its collective economic potential effectively.
