Baku: MEGA a.s. has introduced cutting-edge membrane technology aimed at maximizing water recovery and improving the treatment of drinking, industrial, and wastewater. This announcement was made by Michal Jird¡sek, the Key Account Manager at MEGA a.s., during the Second International Water Management Exhibition and Conference, “Baku Water Week.”
According to Trend News Agency, Jird¡sek emphasized the advancements in water purification and desalination technologies, highlighting their capability to treat both drinking and industrial wastewater to high standards. The company employs various techniques such as reverse osmosis, electrodialysis, and their combinations, with a special focus on Zero Liquid Discharge (ZLD) technology. This technology ensures that no treated water is returned to natural water sources, thereby conserving them.
Jird¡sek explained that electrodialysis surpasses reverse osmosis in achieving higher concentration levels, significantly reducing energy consumption and minimizing the need for large-scale equipment. MEGA’s innovative approach integrates membrane technologies to optimize water recovery, reduce the use of chemicals, and lower the carbon footprint.
Furthermore, MEGA a.s. offers turnkey container solutions where all treatment equipment is housed within portable containers, allowing for flexible deployment across various locations. Jird¡sek concluded by noting that only a select few companies worldwide are engaged in producing electro-membrane technologies, which are anticipated to revolutionize water treatment in the near future.
