Baku:Leyla Aliyeva, Vice President of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation, met with Sister Raffaella Petrini, President of the Governorate of Vatican City State, on September 29.
According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, the meeting underscored the Vatican’s appreciation for the projects carried out by the Heydar Aliyev Foundation, which has consistently received the Vatican’s support. Both parties discussed enhancing cooperation with the Holy See’s Bambino Ges¹ Children’s Hospital, with a particular focus on pediatrics.
Additionally, discussions were held regarding the restoration of the Basilica of St. Paul and its monuments, with an emphasis on expanding efforts in this area.
Sister Raffaella Petrini also extended her greetings to Mehriban Aliyeva, the First Vice-President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, and expressed her desire to visit Azerbaijan soon.
