Kuala lumpur: Malaysia is extending a warm welcome to senior healthcare professionals from Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan as part of its inaugural Medical Tourism Familiarisation Trip. This initiative, organised by the Malaysia Healthcare Travel Council (MHTC) and Tourism Malaysia (TM), aims to enhance professional collaboration and explore referral opportunities between Malaysia and the Central Asian regions. The programme reflects the increasing demand for Malaysian healthcare services in Central Asia and seeks to promote knowledge exchange and establish long-term partnerships between medical institutions in these regions.
According to Nam News Network, from August 3 to 10, 2026, the programme will bring together 16 esteemed healthcare professionals, including practicing physicians, professors, and senior medical specialists from Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan. These participants will engage in an immersive study visit, gaining first-hand insight into Malaysia’s internationally recognised healthcare ecosystem and in
tegrated approach to healthcare travel. This initiative not only underscores Malaysia’s commitment to advancing medical tourism but also highlights its role as a key player in providing excellent healthcare services to international communities.
