Magnitude 3.6 Quake Hits Azerbaijan’s Lerik District


Lerik: A 3.6-magnitude earthquake struck Azerbaijan’s Lerik district on Saturday, the Republican Seismic Survey Center of the Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences reported. The earthquake was recorded at 19:24 local time, occurring at a depth of 24 kilometers.



According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, the seismic event did not result in any immediate reports of damage or casualties. The authorities are monitoring the situation closely and have issued advisories for residents in the affected area to remain vigilant and prepared for any aftershocks.
