Baku:Leyla Aliyeva, Vice President of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation, met with Sister Raffaella Petrini, President of the Governorate of Vatican City State, on September 29.
According to Azeri-Press news agency, the meeting highlighted the Vatican’s appreciation for the projects undertaken by the Heydar Aliyev Foundation, as well as its continued support. The discussion also emphasized the importance of collaboration with the Holy See’s Bambino Ges¹ Children’s Hospital, particularly in pediatric care.
The restoration of the Basilica of St. Paul and its monuments was another topic of discussion, along with exploring ways to expand work in this area. Sister Raffaella Petrini extended her greetings to the First Vice-President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Mehriban Aliyeva, and expressed her desire to visit Azerbaijan in the near future.
