Accra:In a joint press conference with President Ilham Aliyev, President Thongloun Sisoulith of the Lao People’s Democratic Republic expressed optimism about strengthening and expanding the historical friendship between Laos and Azerbaijan.
According to Azeri-Press news agency, President Aliyev highlighted the significance of revisiting and restoring the historical traditions of friendship and goodwill between the two nations. He emphasized the potential for expanding cooperation in various areas, including politics, diplomacy, economy, trade, investment, travel, tourism, and human resources development.
President Sisoulith echoed these sentiments, stating that Laos stands to benefit from the opportunities arising from this collaboration. He believes that during his visit, institutions from both countries will maintain close contact and work together to implement the agreements reached by the two leaders.
