Kazakh Delegation Explores Military Education in Azerbaijan


Baku: A delegation led by Major General Baurzhan Abzhanov, Head of the National Defense University of the Republic of Kazakhstan, visited Azerbaijan, as reported by the Azerbaijan Ministry of Defense to APA. The visit began with a tribute at the Alley of Shehids, where the delegation laid flowers in honor of the fallen.



According to Azeri-Press News Agency, Major General Gunduz Abdulov, Rector of the National Defense University, met with the Kazakh delegation. During the meeting, the delegation received a comprehensive briefing on the university’s history, educational system, and core activities. The discussions highlighted the successful reforms in military education within the Azerbaijan Army and their beneficial outcomes.



The exchange of experience in military education was emphasized as crucial for the development of servicemen’s knowledge and skills. As part of their visit, the delegation toured the War Games Center, the Military Institute named after Heydar Aliyev, and the Military Lyceum named after Jamshid Nakhchivanski. They were introduced to the facilities and conditions offered at these institutions.



The delegation also received insights into the life and political contributions of the National Leader at the Heydar Aliyev Museum, located on the premises of the educational institutions. Major General Abzhanov recorded his impressions in the Book of Honored Guests.



During their visit to the Victory Museum, the delegation learned about the importance of the historic victory achieved during the Patriotic War. The visit concluded with an exchange of gifts and a commemorative photograph.
