IRS-Heritage Magazine Highlights Azerbaijan’s Transformation and Historical Insights

Moscow: A new edition of the ‘IRS-Heritage’ magazine, highlighting the modern development and historical heritage of Azerbaijan, as well as the main stages of the country’s statehood, has been released in Moscow.

According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, the central theme of the edition is the large-scale ‘White City’ urban development project in Baku. This project has transformed former industrial zones into modern spaces, creating a new architectural image for the capital. The article by Editor-in-Chief Musa Marjanli emphasizes that the active development of infrastructure and the urban environment contributes to enhancing Azerbaijan’s international reputation. This is evident as the capital becomes a venue for global forums, including the upcoming World Urban Forum set to be held next month.

Special attention in the magazine is given to the analysis of a valuable historical source from the late 19th century, specifically the map of state summer pastures in Garabagh.

Additionally, this issue of the mag
azine includes an article dedicated to the 290th anniversary of the gathering in Mughan. During this historical meeting, Nadir Afshar was declared the de facto ruler, marking a significant turning point in the region’s history.
