Baku:The international importance of the CAMCA region is on the rise, as discussed at the CAMCA 2026 Regional Forum.
According to Azeri-Press news agency, Sodyq Safoev, Deputy Chairman of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis of Uzbekistan and former Ambassador to the United States, addressed the plenary session titled ‘Statesmen’s Conversation CAMCA’s Role in a Changing World.’ He highlighted that the CAMCA platform has been pivotal in bringing the voices of the region’s countries to a global audience, increasing international awareness.
Safoev pointed out that an article published in the US press in 1996 significantly contributed to raising awareness of Central Asia and the South Caucasus. He emphasized the challenge of reaching an international audience without such a platform.
Additionally, he acknowledged the role of diplomats and other participants who have collaborated within CAMCA over the years, contributing to the region’s development.
