Global Oil Price Nears $98 Per Barrel

Apa-economics: Oil prices continue to rise on the global market, as recent data indicates a significant increase. The price of November futures for Brent crude rose by $0.61, or 0.63%, to $97.61 per barrel, while WTI crude October futures increased by $1.52, or 1.66%, reaching $93 per barrel.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, analysts attribute the rise in oil prices to renewed tensions between the United States and Iran. There are growing concerns that supplies from the Middle East could remain constrained for an extended period, particularly as Iran has warned of its intent to respond to new US attacks. The situation has also led to a decline in shipping traffic through the critical Strait of Hormuz, further exacerbating supply concerns.

The ongoing geopolitical tensions have cast a shadow over the global oil market, with traders and analysts closely monitoring developments in the region. The Strait of Hormuz, a vital artery for global oil shipments, has seen reduced activity, contributing to the upward pressure on oil prices. As the situation evolves, market participants remain vigilant, assessing potential impacts on future oil supply and pricing dynamics.
