Berlin: Azerbaijan is recognized as a crucial partner for Germany, not only within the regional context but also on a broader scale. This was articulated by Ambassador Christoph Israng, Head of the European Directorate-General of the German Federal Foreign Office, during an interview with Azerbaijani media. Israng emphasized the longstanding positive relations between the two nations and underscored the potential opportunities that could arise from achieving peace between Azerbaijan and Armenia. He noted that such a peace would require significant courage from both parties and expressed Germany’s readiness to support this endeavor, seeing additional opportunities in Azerbaijan.
According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, Ambassador Israng also discussed the prospects for further strengthening relations between Azerbaijan, Germany, and the European Union. He highlighted that while the current relations are already robust, there is potential for even closer ties. The progress towards peace in the region, he pointed out, provides a strong foundation for enhancing these relations. Israng expressed optimism that all parties involved would be eager to capitalize on the opportunities presented by these developments.
