Baku: The diplomatic corps’ visit to Karabakh and East Zangezur is in progress, as reported by APA. Assistant to the President of Azerbaijan, Hikmat Hajiyev, shared insights from the first day of this significant tour, highlighting their journey to the liberated territories alongside representatives from the diplomatic community.
According to Azeri-Press News Agency, a two-day visit involving representatives of the diplomatic corps accredited in Azerbaijan to Karabakh and East Zangezur, led by Hikmat Hajiyev, is currently underway. The delegation comprises 150 individuals from 58 countries and 9 international organizations, emphasizing the global interest in the region’s development.
During the visit, diplomatic representatives are set to explore various social and economic infrastructure projects initiated under President Ilham Aliyev’s leadership. These projects are part of a comprehensive restoration, reconstruction, and development initiative in the cities of Khankendi and Shusha, as well as the Aghdara and Kalbajar districts. The diplomats will also assess the condition of historical and cultural heritage sites and the efforts being made to preserve and restore them.
This visit marks the 22nd time since 2020 that diplomatic representatives have toured the liberated territories, underscoring ongoing international engagement and interest in the region’s transformation.
