Baku: Farid Safarli has finally returned to Azerbaijan after being extradited from Iran, bringing an end to a two-year ordeal that his family describes as a wrongful imprisonment.
According to Azeri-Press News Agency, Farid’s mother, Dilara Asgarova, expressed her relief and gratitude for the efforts made by the state to secure her son’s release. She explained that since his arrest, government authorities have been actively working to bring him back home, despite the complexities involved in negotiating with Iran.
Dilara Asgarova pointed out that even powerful nations like the United States face challenges in securing the release of their citizens held in Iranian prisons, highlighting the difficulties her family faced. Despite these obstacles, she maintained hope throughout the process, believing that her son would eventually be freed.
