Khidirli: The next relocation phase to Khidirli village in Azerbaijan’s Aghdam district took place on November 28, Trend reports. During this stage, 13 families comprising 48 people were presented with the keys to their new homes in Khidirli. The key-handover ceremony was attended by representatives of the Special Presidential Envoy’s Office for the districts of Aghdam, Fuzuli, and Khojavend, as well as officials from the State Committee for Refugees and Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs).
According to Trend News Agency, the families returning to Khidirli had previously been temporarily residing in various parts of the country, mainly in dormitories, sanatoriums, and administrative buildings. This relocation is part of the Great Return program to the liberated territories, following the instructions of President Ilham Aliyev.
The residents, who had been displaced for over three decades due to the Armenian incursion into these regions, expressed gratitude to President Ilham Aliyev and First Vice-President Mehriban Aliyeva for the state care. They also appreciated the efforts of the Azerbaijani Army in liberating the lands, honoring the sacrifices of soldiers and officers, and paying tribute to the martyrs who sacrificed their lives.
