Baku: One of the significant advancements at the 13th Session of the World Urban Forum (WUF13) was the establishment of the Business and Innovation Hub, as revealed by Anar Guliyev, Chairman of the State Committee on Urban Planning and Architecture, during the event’s closing ceremony. This session marked a historic moment with the introduction of the first-ever NGO Forum at WUF13, which attracted approximately 800 participants from over 100 countries.
According to Azeri-Press News Agency, Anar Guliyev emphasized the critical role that civil society, local communities, and community-based organizations play in shaping an inclusive, sustainable, and people-centered urban future. The NGO Forum culminated in the adoption of the Baku Declaration on sustainable resilience and global cooperation, underscoring the forum’s commitment to fostering collaboration.
Anar Guliyev highlighted that the establishment of the Business and Innovation Hub was among the most notable innovations during WUF13. This initiative aims to enhance the collaborative efforts between various stakeholders in urban planning and development, paving the way for innovative solutions and sustainable urban growth.
