Drone Carrying Drugs from Iran Intercepted by Azerbaijan’s Border Service


Baku: As a result of border search and operational measures carried out in the service area of the ‘Horadiz’ border detachment of the State Border Service yesterday, a large amount of narcotics was prevented from being transported from the Islamic Republic of Iran to the territory of the Republic of Azerbaijan via an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV), the Press Center of the State Border Service told APA.



According to Azeri-Press News Agency, it was reported that as a result of search measures, a total weight of 12 kilograms 100 grams of narcotics marijuana and 399 methadone M-40 pills containing narcotics were detected and seized from the border area.



Operational and investigative measures regarding the incident are ongoing.
