Prague: Czech Prime Minister Andrej Babiš has announced that the national energy operator, CEPS, intends to purchase natural gas from Azerbaijan. This statement was made during a press conference with Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev, APA reports.
According to Azeri-Press News Agency, the Czech Prime Minister emphasized that Azerbaijan is progressively increasing its gas production. Babiš also mentioned the presence of the head of CEPS at the meeting, expressing optimism about the possibility of securing a long-term gas supply contract with Azerbaijan.
