Awaza:The Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) has announced that 2029 will be recognized as the Year of Transport Connectivity within the CIS. This decision follows an initiative proposed by Turkmenistan during a meeting of the CIS Council of Foreign Ministers held in Awaza.
According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, the participants at the meeting also signed several documents to enhance cooperation among the member states.
These documents include a protocol decision to schedule the next CIS Council of Foreign Ministers meeting, a decision on the draft action plan for the Year of Legal Education in the CIS slated for 2027, and a plan for conducting multilevel political consultations among the foreign ministries of the CIS member states.
