Siena:Prime Minister Hun Manet of Cambodia visited enterprises under Azerbaijan’s Ministry of Defence Industry during an official trip to the country. The visit took place on Tuesday and involved discussions on the operational capabilities and technological potential of these enterprises.
According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, Hun Manet was accompanied by Deputy Ministers of Defence Industry, Mehman Bakhishov and Hidayat Azimov. The Prime Minister received detailed information about the advancements in Azerbaijan’s defence industry under the leadership of President Ilham Aliyev. Key areas of focus included the expansion of domestic production capabilities, the adoption of innovative technologies, the strengthening of research and development, and the building of a highly qualified workforce.
The visit also covered ongoing modernisation efforts at the enterprises, improvements in production processes to meet modern standards, and the introduction of new technological equipment. Infrastructure renewal was also discussed as part of the industry’s development.
Both sides explored prospects for the defence industry’s development and opportunities for international cooperation. They underscored the significance of such visits in enhancing bilateral relations and exploring new partnership opportunities.
