Baku:Cambodia has extended an invitation to Azerbaijani companies to explore collaborative opportunities in agriculture, energy, and tourism. The call for cooperation was made by Kith Meng, President of the Cambodia Chamber of Commerce and Chair of the ASEAN Business Advisory Council, during the Azerbaijan-Cambodia business forum in Baku.
According to Azeri-Press news agency, Kith Meng emphasized the untapped potential in economic and commercial relations between Cambodia and Azerbaijan. Despite currently limited trade turnover, he noted the visible economic complementarity between the two nations, which promises significant opportunities for collaboration.
He highlighted that Azerbaijan’s strength in energy, electricity, and industry complements Cambodia’s role as a dynamic agricultural producer and manufacturing hub in Southeast Asia. This synergy offers unprecedented opportunities for the two countries.
Kith Meng invited Azerbaijani companies to engage in cooperation across four main areas agricultural processing and food security, energy infrastructure, tourism, and trade facilitation. He underscored the potential for joint ventures in energy transition, infrastructure development, and manufacturing, as well as opportunities in the hospitality sector and professional training exchanges.
He assured that Cambodia is ready to collaborate closely with Azerbaijani partners to transform discussions into binding agreements and long-lasting partnerships.
