Baku: Elchin Babayev, Rector of Baku State University (BSU), engaged in a meeting with Houssam-Eldine Reda, Egypt’s Ambassador to Azerbaijan, to discuss expanding cooperation. Rector Babayev expressed appreciation for the collaboration and friendship between Azerbaijan and Arab nations.
According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, Babayev emphasized that cooperation in science, education, and culture has significantly bolstered bilateral relations. He shared insights into the Arabic language instruction at BSU’s Faculty of Oriental Studies and noted advancements in this area.
Babayev indicated that BSU is eager to collaborate in additional fields. He highlighted the importance of signing memoranda, conducting joint research, and developing dual diploma programs with Arab countries’ higher education institutions, including those in Egypt.
Ambassador Houssam-Eldine Reda emphasized the deep-rooted cultural and historical connections between the two nations. He noted the crucial role of educational and scientific cooperation in enhancing bilateral relations, expressing commitment to strengthening academic and cultural ties between BSU and Egyptian universities.
The meeting also covered future cooperation possibilities between BSU and Egyptian higher education institutions, aiming to further enrich their educational partnership.
