Baku:President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev, speaking at the 8th Congress of the New Azerbaijan Party (YAP), expressed that if Heydar Aliyev had been present in Azerbaijan during a critical time in the past, he would not have allowed separatist tendencies to arise in Karabakh.
According to Azeri-Press news agency, President Ilham Aliyev stated that Heydar Aliyev’s presence would have prevented events detrimental to the Azerbaijani people and the emergence of separatist activities in Karabakh.
The president underlined that the Azerbaijani people, understanding the situation, saw Heydar Aliyev as their sole path to salvation.
