Baku: “The tax system of the future will no longer rely solely on a retrospective approach and will instead be based on real-time data analytics, artificial intelligence, and risk-based models,” said Orkhan Nazarli, the Head of the State Tax Service, during his speech at the forum titled ‘A Look into the Future of the Tax System: A New Management Model and Data-Based Decisions.’
According to Azeri-Press News Agency, Nazarli highlighted the strategic importance of artificial intelligence and cybersecurity in public administration. He emphasized the move towards providing services through unified platforms as part of the ongoing transformation in tax administration.
Nazarli pointed out that real-time data analytics, risk-based control models, data governance frameworks, alongside artificial intelligence and machine learning, are crucial for making decisions based on facts rather than intuition. This approach aims to establish a more predictable, transparent, and fair environment for both the state and taxpayers.
He further mentioned that the adoption of digital solutions is expected to enhance tax administration processes, making them simpler and more accessible for citizens.
