Azerbaijan’s Digital Governance Model Honored with Two Global Awards in UK

Baku: Azerbaijan’s Center for Analysis of Economic Reforms and Communication (CAERC) has garnered international recognition for its digital governance initiatives, winning two awards under the “Global Banking and Finance Awards 2026” program. The awards were announced by “GBAF Media,” an international media organization based in the UK and Northern Ireland, highlighting CAERC’s accomplishments in digitalizing public administration and data-driven decision-making.

According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, the CAERC was awarded ‘Best Digital Government Initiative (Smart Monitoring Platform) – Azerbaijan 2026’ and ‘Excellence in Innovation – Data-Driven Governance – Azerbaijan 2026.’ These accolades underscore the effectiveness of CAERC’s Smart Monitoring Platform, which collects data on state strategies and programs within a unified digital framework. This platform facilitates systematic tracking, result measurement, and timely risk identification, transforming monitoring into a dynamic process that informs governance decisions.

The ‘Excellence in Innovation – Data-Driven Governance’ award highlights CAERC’s use of data not just as a statistical tool, but as a strategic asset for developing, executing, and evaluating state policy. This approach marks a new era of digital state-building in Azerbaijan, where data informs decisions and decisions yield measurable outcomes.

The success is attributed to the digital transformation policies led by President Ilham Aliyev, the integration of innovative technologies in public administration, and the focus on result-oriented execution of strategic programs. These awards reflect Azerbaijan’s growing international stature as a pioneer in digital solutions and smart governance models.
