Azerbaijan’s Car Imports from Georgia Decline in Value and Quantity

Baku: Azerbaijan imported 536 passenger cars from Georgia last month, totaling 20.4 million US dollars.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, the data was reported by APA’s local bureau, citing the foreign trade portal of Georgia’s National Statistics Office.

In comparison to previous periods, the value of car supplies from Georgia to Azerbaijan decreased by 1.6 times, and the quantity of cars fell by 50 units. This indicates a significant reduction in both the number of vehicles imported and their overall value.

In January, the total number of passenger cars exported from Georgia was 7,460 units. Azerbaijan’s share of these exports was 7.18%, highlighting its role as a key importer of Georgian vehicles despite the recent decline.

The figures reflect a trend of decreasing car imports, which may have implications for the automotive trade relationship between Azerbaijan and Georgia in the coming months.
