Baku: Aliyar Aghayev, a renowned Azerbaijani FIFA referee, has been appointed by UEFA to officiate a crucial playoff stage match in the Conference League. The match will see Finland’s KuPS Kuopio face off against Poland’s Lech Poznan.
According to Azeri-Press News Agency, Aghayev’s team will include assistants Zeynal Zeynalov and Akif Amrali, while Elchin Masiyev, another FIFA referee from Azerbaijan, will serve as the reserve referee. Additionally, Nijat Ismayilli will assist the English VAR referee, Stuart Attwell, during the match.
