Baku: The AGF Trophy international rhythmic gymnastics tournament held in Baku has concluded, marking a successful event for Azerbaijani gymnasts who secured a total of six medals.
According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, Azerbaijani athletes demonstrated remarkable performances, earning 1 gold, 3 silver, and 2 bronze medals. Govhar Ibrahimova showcased her talent by winning bronze medals in both the ribbon and hoop programs. In another impressive performance, Fidan Gurbanli claimed a silver medal in the ball program.
Azade Atakishiyeva’s exceptional display in the ribbon program earned her the gold medal, and she also secured second place in the ball exercises. The Azerbaijani team further bolstered their success by clinching a silver medal in the team standings.
The tournament witnessed participation from gymnasts representing 15 countries, bringing a competitive edge to the event.
