Baku: The Azerbaijani Foreign Minister, Jeyhun Bayramov, expressed strong disapproval regarding the decision to grant a 10-year Western visa to David Babayan, a leader of an organization operating illegally in Azerbaijan. Bayramov made these remarks during a press conference focused on the outcomes of 2025, highlighting the situation as a clear example of double standards.
According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, Bayramov emphasized that such actions undermine the claims by European capitals of adhering to international law norms, particularly regarding individuals involved in separatism. He pointed out that the move raises questions about the consistency and sincerity of European policies.
The Foreign Minister also referenced criticisms from the United States concerning the double standards that European countries exhibit in their approach to human rights issues. Bayramov’s remarks underscore ongoing tensions and highlight the complexities of international diplomatic relations.
