Baku: The Embassy of the Republic of Azerbaijan in Iran has officially resumed its operations, as announced by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in a recent press release. This development marks a significant step in diplomatic relations between the two neighboring countries.
According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, the embassy reopened on April 12 and will initially function with a limited number of staff, including the Ambassador. The ministry emphasized that this phased approach takes into account both security and organizational considerations.
The resumption comes shortly after the cessation of military operations in Iran and the declaration of a two-week ceasefire, highlighting the importance Azerbaijan places on its relationship with Iran. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs reiterated Azerbaijan’s commitment to supporting initiatives aimed at ensuring lasting peace and stability in the region.
