Azerbaijani Diplomats in France Pay Respects at Grave of Alimardan bey Topchubashov


Paris: Azerbaijani diplomats in France have paid tribute to Alimardan bey Topchubashov, a pivotal figure in the history of Azerbaijan, by visiting his grave. The delegation from Azerbaijan’s Embassy in France, led by Ambassador Leyla Abdullayeva, made the visit as a mark of respect for one of the founders of the Azerbaijan Democratic Republic.



According to Azeri-Press News Agency, Ambassador Abdullayeva shared the visit on her X account, emphasizing the historical importance of Topchubashov’s contributions. The Azerbaijan Democratic Republic is noted for being the first parliamentary democracy in the Muslim East. The visit included members of the diplomatic staff and community, underscoring the significance of honoring those who played a crucial role in Azerbaijan’s fight for independence and democratic values.



Ambassador Abdullayeva expressed a collective sentiment of respect and remembrance for the “sons of the Motherland who fought for Azerbaijan,” highlighting the enduring legacy of Topchubashov and his compatriots in shaping the nation’s history.
