Baku: As part of its official visit to Ethiopia, a delegation from Azerbaijan, led by Sahiba Gafarova, Speaker of the Milli Majlis, toured the MESOB Service Center in Addis Ababa.
According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, the Azerbaijani officials were briefed on the activities of MESOB, which was modeled after the Azerbaijani ASAN Khidmet brand to enhance citizens’ access to essential public services. MESOB integrates over 140 services provided by federal agencies into one digital and physical center, ensuring that public services are delivered more efficiently and reliably.
The State Agency for Public Service and Social Innovations under the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the relevant Ethiopian authority signed a Memorandum of Understanding in May 2024. This agreement aims to implement the ASAN Khidmet concept in Ethiopia, enhancing the nation’s public service delivery.
In addition to their visit to MESOB, the Azerbaijani delegation explored the National Palace Museum Complex, a key historical and cultural site that showcases the history of Ethiopian statehood, the legacy of its monarchic period, and the country’s cultural heritage. The delegation also visited the National History Museum Complex to view exhibits depicting Ethiopia’s rich history.
