Baku: Azerbaijani citizens have significantly increased their investments in foreign markets, with investments exceeding 400 million manats last year. The Central Bank of Azerbaijan disclosed that by the end of 2025, the total volume of client assets held by investment companies reached 2.6 billion manats.
According to Azeri-Press News Agency, there was a 36.8% increase in client assets of investment companies, amounting to an additional 680 million manats compared to 2024. Of the total assets, 2.32 billion manats were allocated to foreign markets. A substantial 82% of these foreign investments, approximately 1.9 billion manats, were attributed to legal entities, while 18%, or about 418 million manats, were held by individuals.
The statement highlighted that the primary focus of investments in foreign markets was directed towards government and corporate bonds of foreign countries. This investment trend underscores the increasing confidence of Azerbaijani citizens and entities in the global market landscape.
