Baku: Jeyhun Bayramov, Azerbaijan’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, recently engaged in a telephone conversation with Seyed Abbas Araghchi, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Iran. The discussion centered on the current security situation in the region and the recently achieved ceasefire.
According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, FM Bayramov welcomed the ceasefire, underscoring its significance in reducing tensions, supporting negotiations, and ensuring stability. Both ministers acknowledged the role of mediator countries, with a special mention of Pakistan’s contribution to facilitating the ceasefire.
Jeyhun Bayramov emphasized the importance of adhering to the ceasefire, highlighting the necessity of resolving the situation through diplomatic channels. He expressed optimism that the forthcoming talks in Islamabad would be focused and productive, aimed at achieving tangible results.
Minister Bayramov reiterated Azerbaijan’s commitment to supporting initiatives that foster lasting peace, security, and cooperation in the region. The conversation also covered other matters of mutual concern, reflecting the ongoing collaboration between the two nations’ foreign ministries.
