New York:United Nations: Jeyhun Bayramov, the Foreign Minister of Azerbaijan, met with Abbas Araghchi, the Foreign Minister of Iran, on the sidelines of the 81st session of the United Nations General Assembly.
According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, the ministers reviewed both the bilateral and multilateral agendas between their countries and discussed regional developments. They emphasized the necessity of maintaining high-level engagement, mutual respect, and fostering good-neighborly relations.
The meeting also highlighted the significance of the upcoming August 2026 meeting between the Presidents of Azerbaijan and Iran in Bishkek, considering it a crucial step towards enhancing bilateral cooperation.
Additionally, the foreign ministers addressed regional security issues, stressing the importance of diplomacy, dialogue, and promoting peace and stability.
