Baku:Azerbaijan’s commitment to peace has been strongly reciprocated by the United States, according to Hikmet Hajiyev, Assistant to the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan and Head of the Foreign Policy Affairs Department of the Presidential Administration. Speaking at the CAMCA Regional Forum, Hajiyev highlighted the evolving dynamics in US involvement in Central Asia and the Caspian region.
According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, Hajiyev emphasized that the US is expected to play a more active role in the region, marking the emergence of a new geostrategic approach. He noted that Azerbaijan-US relations have reached a completely new stage, with US President Donald Trump and his administration contributing positively to the Azerbaijan-Armenia peace process.
Hajiyev remarked on the US’s strong support for the peace agenda, noting that President Trump lent significant political backing to the efforts, which has been pivotal in advancing the peace initiative.
