Lima:Azerbaijan highlighted its cultural and tourism assets at the International Fair of Culture, Tourism, and Education in the Miraflores district of Peru’s capital.
According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, the event was part of World Tourism Day celebrations and included participation from embassies and cultural centers from 39 countries. The Mayor of Miraflores, diplomatic representatives, and other officials were also in attendance.
The fair featured Azerbaijan’s cultural heritage, tourism potential, national values, and historical sites, attracting significant interest from attendees. Visitors learned about notable tourism destinations such as the Maiden Tower and Shusha Fortress, along with other important historical landmarks, through presentations and promotional materials.
The three-day event attracted more than 100,000 visitors and received extensive coverage from local media in Peru. It provided a valuable opportunity for Azerbaijan to promote its cultural and tourism offerings across South America.
