Azerbaijan Sees Surge with Over 102,000 New Jobs Created in 2025


Baku: During 2025, a total of 102,500 new jobs were created in Azerbaijan.



According to Azeri-Press News Agency, citing the State Statistical Committee, 9.3% of these jobs emerged from newly established enterprises and organizations, while 89.7% were added by existing enterprises and organizations. Additionally, 0.3% were in enterprises and organizations that resumed operations, with another 0.7% resulting from other measures.



The data indicates that 91.1% of the jobs created during this period were in the non-state sector. Of the newly created jobs, 76.5% were located in Baku, 0.7% in the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic, and 22.8% in other regions. This distribution includes 6.6% in Absheron-Khizi, 2.7% in Sheki-Zagatala, 2.5% in Guba-Khachmaz, 2.3% in Karabakh, 2.1% in Ganja-Dashkasan, 1.7% in Shirvan-Salyan, 1.0% in Lankaran-Astara, 1.0% in Central Aran, 0.8% in Gazakh-Tovuz, 0.8% in East Zangezur, 0.7% in Mountainous Shirvan, and 0.6% in Mil-Mughan economic regions.
