Azerbaijan Sees Over 30% Surge in Fruit and Vegetable Export Revenues


Baku: Azerbaijan’s fruit and vegetable export revenues increased by more than 30% last month. In January 2026, Azerbaijan exported 60.7 thousand tons of fruits and vegetables worth 79 million 688.9 thousand US dollars.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, this marked a significant rise compared to the corresponding period of the previous year, with the value of exports increasing by 31.7%, equivalent to 19.2 million dollars, and the volume of exports rising by 4.5%, or 2.6 thousand tons. In comparison, in January 2025, Azerbaijan exported 58.1 thousand tons of fruits and vegetables valued at 60 million 487.7 thousand US dollars.

The main exported fruit and vegetable products during the reporting period included hazelnuts worth 29.4 million dollars at a volume of 2.3 thousand tons, persimmons worth 22.3 million dollars at 26.7 thousand tons, tomatoes valued at 13.6 million dollars at 12.1 thousand tons, apples worth 8.2 million dollars at 10.9 thousand tons, pomegranates worth 1.3 million dollars at 1.4 tho
usand tons, and potatoes valued at 65.4 thousand dollars at 189.4 thousand tons.

Last year, the share of fruits and vegetables in Azerbaijan’s total exports constituted 3.56%, while their share in non-oil exports was 29.69%. In 2025, Azerbaijan exported a total of 845.9 thousand tons of fruits and vegetables worth 901 million 500 thousand US dollars.
