Azerbaijan Reports Strong State Budget Performance in January 2026, Revenues Exceed Forecast


Baku: Positive dynamics were observed in the execution of the state budget in January 2026. During this period, more than 37,000 payment orders were executed by treasury authorities, and high indicators were recorded in the execution of state budget revenues.



According to Azeri-Press News Agency, citing the Ministry of Finance, state budget revenues amounted to 3,707.3 million manats, exceeding the monthly forecast by 32.0 million manats, or 0.9 percent.



Within state budget revenues, receipts through the State Tax Service under the Ministry of Economy amounted to 2,050.3 million manats, exceeding the forecast by 50.3 million manats, or 2.5 percent. Receipts from the State Customs Committee amounted to 487.0 million manats, exceeding the forecast by 2.0 million manats, or 0.4 percent. Receipts from the State Property Service under the Ministry of Economy amounted to 4.9 million manats, exceeding the forecast by 0.2 million manats, or 4.4 percent. Other receipts amounted to 31.0 million manats, exceeding the forecast by 3.1 million manats, or 11.2 percent. Transfers from the State Oil Fund amounted to 1,070.0 million manats, achieving 100 percent of the forecast.



At the same time, revenues from paid services of organizations financed from the state budget amounted to 64.1 million manats, representing 73.1 percent execution against the forecast.



In January, state budget expenditures were executed in the amount of 1,437.6 million manats against a forecast of 1,500.0 million manats, which is 95.8 percent.



During January 2026, consolidated budget revenues were executed in the amount of 4,411.9 million manats, while expenditures amounted to 1,717.5 million manats.
