Baku: Azerbaijan Railways CJSC (ADY) has issued a warning to passengers regarding the circulation of fake tickets for the Baku-Tbilisi-Baku train route.
According to Azeri-Press News Agency, the railway company has been alerted to numerous complaints from citizens who have fallen victim to scams involving counterfeit tickets.
The fraudulent tickets are reportedly being sold by certain tourism companies and through social media platforms, offering seats that do not exist. In response to these incidents, ADY has engaged law enforcement agencies to investigate and identify the perpetrators behind these scams. Efforts are also being made to locate and hold accountable the social media pages involved in the fraudulent activities.
ADY has clarified that it does not collaborate with any tourism companies or intermediaries for ticket sales on the Baku-Tbilisi-Baku route. The company emphasized that it does not allocate ticket quotas to any third parties. Passengers are strongly advised to secure their tickets exclusively through ADY’s official channels, which include the company’s website, the ADY Mobile application, and authorized railway ticket offices.
