Baku:A procedure to regulate the work and rest hours of aircraft crew members on commercial air transport flights is being established.
According to Azeri-Press news agency, this development is reflected in proposed amendments to the Labor Code and the Law “On Aviation,” which were submitted for discussion at a session of the Milli Majlis.
The proposed amendment to the Law “On Aviation” specifies that flight duty time begins when an aircraft crew member reports to the airport, at a time determined by the aircraft operator, to operate one or more consecutive flights and ends when the aircraft comes to a complete stop on the ground after the final flight. Corresponding amendments to the Labor Code are also proposed.
The draft law was put to a vote and adopted in the first reading.
