Changzhou:The Office of the Azerbaijan Tourism Board in Beijing took part in the ‘2026 Jiangsu Forum on the Silver Tourism Market’ in Changzhou, Jiangsu Province, China, on September 22.
According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, the forum was a gathering of representatives from tourism authorities, airlines, cruise companies, hotels, financial and insurance institutions, and travel service providers. It aimed to exchange insights and explore cooperation opportunities.
Azerbaijan’s presentation at the forum highlighted its tourism offerings, focusing on cultural heritage, gastronomy, natural landscapes, and health and wellness. Prominent features included Baku’s mix of historic and modern architecture, Shaki’s Silk Road heritage, and Naftalan’s wellness resources. Additionally, the visa-free travel regime between China and Azerbaijan was underscored to facilitate increased travel.
China’s senior travel market is seen as significant for Azerbaijan, given its strong spending power and interest in cultural, leisure, and wellness experiences, which align with Azerbaijan’s offerings.
The forum served as a platform to introduce Azerbaijan to travel trade partners in East China and the broader southern Chinese market, fostering further engagement with regional partners and understanding of senior travelers’ preferences.
