Baku: Azerbaijan has officially banned the circulation of electronic cigarettes and their components among civilians. This move comes as electronic cigarettes and their parts have been added to the list of items prohibited from civilian circulation, APA reports.
According to Azeri-Press News Agency, the prohibition is part of an amendment to the existing law titled “On the List of Items Prohibited from Civilian Circulation (Withdrawn from Civilian Circulation),” which was recently approved by President Ilham Aliyev. The amendment aligns with Law No. 338-VIIQD, enacted on December 30, 2025, which modifies the Tax Code and several other laws in Azerbaijan, including those concerning tobacco and advertising.
The comprehensive law restricts the import, export, production, storage, as well as wholesale and retail sale of electronic cigarettes and their components. The usage of these products is also prohibited under the new legislation. This move is part of a broader effort by the Azerbaijani government to control the circulation of tobacco-related products within the country, ensuring public health and compliance with existing advertising regulations.
