Baku:The Ministry of Justice and the Ministry of Internal Affairs in Azerbaijan have collaborated on a successful operation leading to the discovery of a hidden assault rifle.
According to Azeri-Press news agency, the operation resulted in the seizure of an AKM-74 assault rifle, along with four magazines and 105 rounds of 5.45 mm ammunition.
These items were found buried near an old building in a beach area in the Shuvalan settlement of Baku’s Khazar district. The weaponry had been concealed by a convict currently serving time at a penitentiary facility under the Ministry of Justice’s Penitentiary Service before his arrest.
The investigation into this case is still ongoing.
