Balakan: A significant quantity of marijuana has been intercepted by Azerbaijan customs officials, marking a major success in their efforts to curb illegal drug trafficking. The Balakan Customs Administration discovered and removed 110 kilograms and 300 grams of marijuana from a truck during routine customs control measures. The vehicle, which was en route from Iran to Georgia, was transporting a cargo of watermelons when it was stopped for inspection.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, the ‘Mazimgara’ customs post officials utilized a stationary X-ray device to inspect the truck.
