Baku: As of February 1, the total assets of banks in Azerbaijan amounted to 56 billion 935.8 million manats.
According to Azeri-Press News Agency, this figure represents a 7.2 percent increase compared to February 1 of the previous year. The rise in assets reflects the ongoing growth within the banking sector in Azerbaijan.
As of February 1 this year, the banks’ total liabilities were recorded at 49 billion 528.7 million manats. Meanwhile, the total equity capital of these banks amounted to 7 billion 407.1 million manats.
